“How inspiring and moving to see my students experience a workshop of “lasting value.” In a highly competitive, high achieving, IB high school, my students feel extreme pressure to meet high standards of excellence and because of this, their focus is inwards and they are often self-conscious and get stuck in their heads and cannot experience true acting. But you unleashed them! The students experienced living in the moment and the freedom that comes with from having their attention outwards. Their self-consciousness was relieved and, as they forgot about “performing”, they experienced real moments instead. We’d like to make your workshop and annual event! Thanks so much for treating our kids with care, respect and nurturing - you have inspired the next generation of actors and I cannot thank you enough!” Paige Hamilton, Head of Theatre

“I learned so many things this weekend that are not only applicable to theatre but to my life, such as living openly and in the present moment. This work has boosted my confidence and helped me to grow more comfortable with myself. The exercises were at times intense but they were beneficial and really fun!” Carly

“This experience was amazing! In just one weekend, my eyes have opened to the world and the exercises made me much less self conscious about myself on stage. Thank you so much!” Maddie

“I learned that acting is not about faking and putting on a show and that if I am genuine, the audience will be drawn in. I also experienced that when I am real, the audience is touched and they will leave thinking about their lives.” Ally

“This weekend, I learned a very open, honest and pure way of acting. I experienced first hand that acting isn’t pretending and I now see that acting isn’t putting on a mask, but rather, it is taking the mask off.” Amy

“The single most important thing I have learned is how to be more open to those around me while I am acting instead of holding a mirror up in front of myself and focusing on myself. This alone has helped me become a more natural actor.” Jake

“I learned that the words of the script can only take an audience so far; it’s the true life and emotion that the actor puts inside the words that makes the audience care. I really see that acting is a craft and requires practice, just as with any other craft.” Sarah
